"One of the most welcome additions to OpenOffice.org 2.3 is a new export filter that allows you to save Writer documents as MediaWiki-formatted pages. That's all fine and dandy if you are using MediaWiki, but what about other wiki systems? The answer to this question comes in the form of the OpenOffice2UniWakka export filter. While it's designed to work with the UniWakka wiki, with a bit of hacking you can adapt it to other wiki systems as well, even if you are not familiar with XML and XSLT."

WikipediaFS allows you to mount a MediaWiki-based site on your Linux box, just as if it were a normal directory structure.

This means you can view and edit Wiki entries with any old text editor and they will be automagically updated on the Wiki.

We’ve all heard of Wikipedia, and probably even played around with, or used some kind of wiki. Maybe you’ve planned a group project, or compiled information – wikis are a great tool for online collaboration. But this guy took it one step further and wrote an entire novel in a wiki, and then got it published. It’s possible that this is the first published work of fiction that was written entirely in a wiki.
