Hoosgot (pronounced "Who's Got...") is a simple way to ask who's got what you're looking for. Just put "hoosgot" in a blog post or a Twitter tweet and it'll show up here in Hoosgot.

Google maps has a collaborate feature now that will let you make a map layer that you can share with a group or even the world. It works like a wiki, so anyone in the share list can edit, edd or remove any data point.

I'm monkeying around with it and trying to kick off a worldwide map of hackers. If you code--or just pretend to--click on this link and add yourself and your hacker friends to the map:

Rapper Missy Elliott has teamed with Doritos in a new multimillion dollar ad campaign promoting the Doritos' Collision brand of chips.

According to reports, the commercials debut September 17 and feature Elliott in the studio creating a "mash up," while eating Doritos Collision chips, which contain two distinct flavor of chips.

An online component to the campaign will also allow fans to create their own mash up singles, using the Grammy Award winning producer's tracks in a competition for prizes.

It's hasn't been updated in a bit, but the Museum of Modern Betas site runs a cool ranking of mashup/mix-in sites. It's all based on number of posts to del.icio.us, so it's a bit of a mashup itself.

Zoomable mashup of Google Maps, Virtual Earth and other satellite imagery through a Flash application. Try rotating the compass or building a permanent link to a location.

A web collection of featuring the ways people modify and mesh and mash technology. As William Gibson said, "The street finds its own uses for things."

Have you seen the retooled Apple "1984" mash-ad on YouTube with Hillary Clinton playing the role of Big Brother? Obama's people denied any involvement, but here's the real story. Thanks Huffington Post!
