Via Mashable. Pete Cashmore describes this as blogging for baby boomers (i.e. people who are too old to grasp the concept of blogging). I don't get the age aspect, but this looks like it might be a cool service anyhow. Wonder how it compares to Dandelife.

Mashes up various web services (Google Maps, Flickr, plus others) to give you a map-based view of who's coming to your event and to facilitate setting up meetings while there.

A site for making music mashups. Recommended at Mashable.

An editorial from (the very radically left-wing) IndyBay arguing that "Al-Qaeda in Iraq" is a misnomer and a misconception. Most of the Iraqi resistance is motivated by nationalism, not sectarian ideology, even if al-Qaeda has provided a convenient banner under which to gather.

Recommended site, similar to Ning but aimed at the less web-savvy. Haven't tried it yet.

How's this work? Looks cool. For a dollar apiece, you can trade your old unwanted CDs for others. I think.

Jan Staller is the photographer behind Frontier New York, a slightly surreal look at New York City from angles that show no human beings. Great photos.

I've been thinking of giving this site a try. Create rich-media "slideshow" type entries incorporating, well, everything.

From PhotoJoJo. This has been floating around a while, but I don't think I've got it in my links. So ... voilĂ . Print short videos from your phone or camera to a tiny flipbook. Cute.

Kind of like Justin.tv but without the video. Some d00d is tracking his every move with photos, GPS, and text, I think. It's kind of hard to figure out. Actually, I'm not sure I really care. But it's puzzling... and therefore interesting.
